What Makes a Toyota Certified Pre-Owned?
Not every used Toyota qualifies for certification. The vehicle must be six model years old or newer and have no more than 85,000 miles on the odometer. Once it meets those thresholds, a CARFAX Vehicle History Report is pulled to check for title issues, accident history, flood damage, airbag deployments, and ownership records. Only vehicles with clean histories move forward.
From there, the vehicle goes through a comprehensive 160-point quality assurance inspection conducted by our Toyota-certified technicians. The inspection covers the engine compartment, steering system, brakes, suspension, instrument panel, electronic systems, exterior condition, frame, structure, and underbody. Anything that does not meet Toyota’s standards is repaired or replaced with Genuine Toyota Parts before the vehicle earns its certified badge.
