My experience with Toyota of Coconut Creek was extremely disappointing. We initially negotiated two vehicle purchases, and everything seemed fine. However, the dealership made serious mistakes that severely damaged my credit. They failed to process the payoff of my previous loan, which resulted in my former lender repossessing my vehicle. Without my authorization, they also changed the original deal by adding products I never agreed to, moved one vehicle into my wife’s transaction, and increased the cost beyond what we had negotiated. I was even called around 11:00 PM and pressured into signing paperwork under threats involving the police. The way the dealership handled this situation was completely unacceptable, and their attempt to resolve it only made things worse. I would never recommend this dealership. Every finance manager and employee involved in the transaction was aware of the situation, yet no one took ownership or acted to fix the serious mistakes they made. Their negligence ultimately damaged my credit and caused me significant financial losses.

The only person I thought did a good job was Rohan(?) I believe (he was in the office and did all of my paperwork with me.) He was awesome. The “insurance lady” was barely helpful, she watched as I spoke with my insurance company, then when I was finished, she was suddenly on a phone call and gave me a thumbs up so I knew I was done. No help on what or where I should go next. Now let’s talk about Chener. i came in and test drove the car, when I asked him about adaptive cruise control and something else, his answers were “it has everything.” I wasn’t ready to buy that day. I came back a few days later (Sunday on Labor Day weekend. I arrived at 4pm. The lobby was pretty crowded, I found him and he told me to have a seat. I got myself a cup of coffee. I watched as other salespeople got bottles of water for people. After 30 minutes, I saw him walk outside. I texted him to ask to please not forget about me. He showed up five or ten minutes later, got me a water and left again, Five or ten more minutes he came back and we started talking. Then we started with the back and forth with the finance guy. Finally he also came out and we came to a deal. I went in to do the paperwork. At some point, my license plate was given to Chener. When I was finished with everything, they rang the bell, which I only heard maybe two times during my 4 1/2 hour process. I should have been excited. When Chener took me out to my new car, he asked me for the license plate. I replied that I thought they had given it to him. After a few minutes he found it, and took me out to show me the car. He set me up with the app, but did not show me around the car at all. After he gave me the keys, he went to get a screwdriver to put the license plate on. Now my favorite part. He said I would receive a survey, but not to worry about filling it out if I didn’t want to because “if I clicked one or two things wrong, it would cost him.” I usually do not leave negative reviews, so I thought I probably would give him the benefit of the doubt. Then he called me after I was home to tell me he was not able to fill the gas tank. I believe he said “none of the cards were working.” That is when I thought I probably will do the survey. He told me to come in when the tank was empty and he would fill it. That’s nice, but I am not confident that will go smoothly or take me less than half an hour for $20 worth of gas, so I doubt I will bother. He has my phone number, I do not want a text or call from him, but I would accept a call from a manager.

Was left feeling like a one-off customer. Out of state, meant it was a chore of more to do for your team. Started with advertising one thing, but then adding other items not advertised. Had many different people contacting and responding without knowing who of if they actually worked for your company. I specifically asked about floor mats, since no pictures were shown, yet the factory ones were missing. The vehicle is what I wanted, just not close to where I live. Sorry it caused your people to do a little bit more work, but it did cause me to spend more than I planned as well.

I came here for a routine maintenance and got obscene quotes for various repairs. I understand dealerships have markups but up to 500% is pure robbery at this point. There used to be a shuttle service to go somewhere else and wait (mall, restaurant, etc.). Now we were advised to take a cab at our expense.

They reserved the wrong car for me and failed to meet any
They reserved the wrong car for me and failed to meet any deadlines. They promised me a discount to compensate for their error, but they merely waived the cost of the sunroof an option that should have been included in the first place. They told me they would give me a discount on the license plates, yet they charged me the full amount through the financing. Finally, even after I had paid and finalized the deal, they still tried to charge me for the delivery of the car a service I had asked about right from the start to confirm whether it was provided free of charge.

I sent a text message to the salesperson and it appears your sales people have only computer sales cell phone numbers not an actual cell phone because the employee that is a salesperson that deal with me didn't come in till 4:30 4:45 and would not be able to access his text message until he logged into the computer. This is bad customer service on the part of Toyota of coconut creek.

Staff was completely unprofessional, passive aggressive
Staff was completely unprofessional, passive aggressive and rude. Denied me the right to speak to a manager. When I did speak to a manager, he stated he “did not want to hurt my feelings or upset me” when I tried to negotiate pricing. Completely inappropriate and unrelated to the deal. Salesperson quit through text, which caused me to be paired with a new salesperson and re-do paperwork. I was told different information in sales vs finance. Finance manager was not honest about warranty packages which caused price of vehicle to skyrocket. I had to go back 2 days later with reinforcement to make changes to contract and get a proper number. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism at a dealership in my life. Won’t be back and will NOT refer anyone to this dealership.

Service Date: 07/24/2026 Overall service is good. However, when I advise an issue with the car they can never reproduce it and / or will provide an explanation that does not satisfy the issue reported. 2 examples from this visit: 1. Wind noise from passenger door when traveling at high way speeds 70+ miles per hour but does not always happen. Dealer - unable to reproduce. 2. Miles per tank. Advised that I was getting about 240 - 250 miles per tank when driving in the city. My 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid Max Platinum should get City 26 MPG and Highway 27 MPG with a 17 gallon tank. I'm getting around 20 which I believe is not acceptable. I realize these are estimates, but I'm off by almost 30%.. The answer I received from the Dealer is that city mileage is always lower because of the stop and go. Personally, that is bordering on insulting as I'm well aware of that and I'm also aware these are estimates, but I feel that the numbers I'm getting are an issue and from the sound of it, the dealer does not want to address them. As a side not, I also advised on a previous visit that the car shows the gas light on with 10 to 5 miles left and when I fill it up it only takes 12 -13 gallons. Did not want to address and can't remember the explanation.

Always had great service when Mr Cobb was my advisor. This time I had someone new who attempted to heavily upsell me at the counter and later with a callback with hundreds more work to be done. I had to ask Mr Cobb to review and learned one of the services was quoted over $100 too much. The next morning woke to a flat tire. Left a msg for my advisor who to this day never called me back. I called another company who provided mobile service quickly and determined the valve stem was damaged. Used to trust now that my advisor has changed I don’t.
